Here is a repeat of what you need to to do this June for Lang Arts:

1) Compile 8 complimentary and/ complaint letters from The Straits Times. If you can find them online, feel free to copy them on a Word Document. If not, do cut them out from the papers. Try to find letters that contain at least 120 words.

2) Underline/Highlight phrases that are unique to such letters. For example, you might find 'I was appalled at the service...' in a complaint letter, and 'It is with sincere gratitude that I...' in a complimentary letter.

3) Log on to Xmoogle and complete a writing task every week.

Please be reminded to complete your Physics June Holidays Homework.
The worksheet is attached here in case you lose your hardcopy.

Read up on Electricity from your textbook, upper Secondary textbooks, other guide books or the internet to aid you in your answering.


Your Science files have been checked and are ready for collection (201 and 205 have already collected).
Please look for me in the mornings of 7-11 Jun to retrieve your file (but I may be in class at certain timings).
I'm sure you want to do revision and do not want your file to collect dust.


I have a limited number of entry passes to access the competition venue of RoboCup 2010, valid from 21st-24th June at Suntec City.
If you are interested to attend the event, do not forget to collect your passes from me when you collect your file.
I have enough passes for you to bring your siblings/ cousins/ friends along.

Dear Xinmin People,
Every year, we organise 2 complusory sporting events.
The Sports Day is held in semester 1 and the Cross-country run is usually held on the 4th Saturday of July.
In celebrating our 65th Anniversary we are holding the n2d II event in place of the Cross-country meet.
We had our first n2d run in 2007.

Everyone will participate in this event.

There are 2 sessions available : 5pm to 7pm (Fri 23 Jul) for those who are unable to stay over and 7pm to 7am (Fri 23 Jul to Sat 24 Jul) for those who can.

I strongly encourage you all to experience the overnight 12 hr session.

Participation is via CCA.
Each CCA will form as many teams as they can.
Each team shall comprise 8 to 12 members.
Each team shall complete a total of 65km.
It is up to the team to decide the distance for each member.
However, each member must run/walk at least 5km.
The route is around the school + 1 round the parade square (1km).
Each member is to raise at least $20 through the donation card.
Please raise more if you can.

All funds will go towards the building of the Performing Arts Centre.

Everyone should be issued with a card by now
(Kaleidoscope performers will get theirs by 7 Jul at the latest).

Please make use of the holidays to source for donations.
For those staying over, there will be a horror movie screening from 12 midnight to dawn!
For those who prefer not to scream, you may then feast and indulge in a 6 hr CCA-BBQ!!
